The Philippine National Police (PNP) launched the 30th Police Community Relations (PCR) Month on July 1, 2025, at Camp BGen Rafael T. Crame in Quezon City, under the theme “Sa Bagong Pilipinas, ang Gusto ng Pulis, Ligtas Ka.” A key feature of the event was the nationwide oath-taking of the PNP Women’s Support Network (WSN) Project Team, created under Memorandum Circular 2025-015. The WSN highlights the important role of women in promoting gender-responsive policing and aims to support balanced leadership, professional development, and holistic support for women in the police service.

Deputy Chief PNP for Administration, PLTGen Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., speaking on behalf of PNP Chief Police General Nicolas D. Torre III, emphasized that PCR Month has, for 30 years, served as a platform to strengthen police-community relations based on trust, respect, and shared goals. He reiterated that public safety is a collective effort and aligned the initiative with the Bagong Pilipinas agenda, which calls for a police force that ensures safety—not through force or fear, but through partnership and protection. Activities throughout the month will focus on community-centered engagement and collaboration, with the WSN offering a promising step toward more inclusive participation of women in shaping security outcomes.
