Sharjah Police celebrates Emirati Women’s Day

The Sharjah Police General Command marked Emirati Women’s Day with a celebration recognising the vital contributions of women in policing and their role in the UAE’s wider development. Female officers from across departments participated in the event, which included a panel discussion on challenges and opportunities for women in the security sector.
In his address, Major General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, affirmed that Emirati women are central to the nation’s progress and have proven their ability to excel in all fields, including policing. He stressed that women’s empowerment is a core principle within the vision of the General Command, which is committed to providing an enabling work environment that supports women’s ambitions and allows them to rise to senior positions.
Major General bin Amer praised women in uniform for their dedication, discipline, and leadership, describing them as role models within the force. He emphasised that the empowerment of women in policing is part of the UAE’s broader national vision, grounded in justice, equality, and equal opportunity, and aimed at building a more inclusive and sustainable future.
